Do-sha design is a multidisciplinary studio working across product design, branding, graphic design, packaging, film, and art.
Founder Ryo Abe began his career in product development as a designer at GK Dynamics before establishing his independent practice in 2026. Based in Tokyo, he works with companies and brands to shape projects from the core idea through to the product itself and the way it is presented to the world.
His approach looks beyond function and form to the people who will ultimately use, experience, and engage with the outcome. Through close dialogue, he works collaboratively with everyone involved to create value with purpose—and with a genuine sense of enjoyment.

Every design begins with a desire to bring joy to someone.
At the heart of Do-sha design is a simple intention: to make someone happy through the act of creation. The studio values open communication with clients, makers, and users alike. Rather than imposing a predetermined answer, it seeks out the value most fitting for each project through thoughtful dialogue.

Film and photographic content, including social media reels, designed to communicate a brand’s character and story.
Art & Painting
Original painting, exhibitions, and site-specific artwork informed by a distinctive sensitivity to colour and form.

Concept development and design that translate the strengths of a company or maker—their techniques, materials, and expertise—into meaningful contemporary value.
Do-sha design carefully interprets the techniques, materials, and stories cultivated by craft artists and artisans. Through product development, cross-sector collaborations, and brand building, the studio helps bring their value into contemporary life and markets.

Artist
安部 涼 / Ryo Abe
Born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, in 1999, Ryo Abe is now based primarily in Tokyo. After graduating from the Faculty of Design at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture, he joined GK Dynamics, where he worked in product development as a designer in the Product Dynamics Design Department.
He left the company in April 2026 to establish his independent practice. With product design at its core, his work spans a broad range of creative fields, including graphic design, branding, and art.
