Working with Kilns to Bring Tradition Home
In collaboration with Tenzan Kiln, Hougetsudou has developed a single-stem vase featuring hanazume, a technique of densely painted floral decoration. Areas of plain white porcelain balance the richly colored flowers in a form designed for contemporary interiors.

Exhibiting at LIFE×DESIGN 2026
In a report published on September 7, 2026, Hougetsudou highlighted its participation in the Tokyo International Gift Show LIFE×DESIGN. The display introduced buyers to hanazume pieces, gourd-shaped single-stem vases, and lidded cups, showing how Kutani ware can be used in contemporary settings.
